When the message matters, you can’t afford to lose it under the noise, and you can’t afford to crank a radio loud enough to hurt your ears either. Big Ear’s custom communication earpieces connect straight to your radio, phone, Sena or Scala and deliver every transmission into a sealed, custom-molded fit, while the noise stays sealed out. One ear or two, radio or stereo, with a filter for situational awareness or full-block for focus, we build it to match exactly how you communicate. Clear comms, protected hearing, a fit that’s yours alone.
I was in the market for a new custom earpiece for two-way radios at work, as I work in law enforcement.
If you work or ride with a radio, you know the trade-off: turn it up loud enough to beat the background noise, and you’re damaging your hearing one transmission at a time. Generic earpieces don’t seal, so they leak sound and push the volume even higher.
Custom communication earpieces end the compromise. Molded to your ears and wired to plug straight into your radio, phone, Sena or Scala, they seal the noise out so every word comes through clearly at a safe volume. Choose one ear or both, radio or stereo, mono or air-tube, with a filter for situational awareness or full-block for focus, and if you don’t see your exact setup, we can build almost anything. Hand-made in the USA, backed by a 30-day fit warranty.
Generic earpieces leak, fall out and push the volume up. Custom comms fix all three, here’s why.
A sealed custom fit delivers your radio or phone audio cleanly, so you catch every transmission the first time.
Block the background so you don’t crank the volume, clear comms at a level that’s safe for your ears.
Wired for your radio, phone, Sena, Scala or air-tube unit, if you don’t see it, we’ll build it.
Run a single-ear earpiece for awareness or a full stereo set for focus, your call, your fit.
Add a filter to keep situational awareness, or go full-block when you need to shut the world out.
The short version: most people start with the single-ear radio earpiece, clear comms with one ear open for awareness, $105.00. Want stereo focus or wireless? Step up to noise-isolating headphones or add Bluetooth.

What happens after you pay
A custom set cannot exist until we have the shape of your ears. The kit we send takes a mold every bit as good as one taken in a clinic, it is what most of our customers use, and it is what the lab builds from. If you would rather have it done for you, any audiologist can, or you can visit one of our providers. It costs the same either way.
