Every Big Ear product is moulded, finished and inspected at our own lab at 101 Durden Park Row, Blythewood, SC 29016. Not assembled overseas, not drop-shipped, not rushed. One pair at a time, for one set of ears at a time. We are proud of that, and we think you can hear the difference.
The detail
Our flagship convertible. Five drivers, full range.
Generic tips shift, leak and fight your ear canal, so you turn the mix up to compensate. A custom in-ear monitor is cast from impressions of your own ears. The seal that blocks out 32 dB of outside sound is the same seal that keeps your low end where you set it, so you can play at a lower volume, hear every detail and walk off stage with your hearing intact.
Five balanced drivers, 5-way synX crossover
Each band of the frequency range gets a dedicated driver, so the full mix stays clean at lower volumes. For touring players, engineers and anyone who wants reference-grade range they can also wear off stage.
Wired on stage. Wireless off it.
This is a convertible set. Each earpiece connects on two metal pins, so the same pair runs on a detachable 3.5 mm (1/8″) cable into your in-ear pack or console for the show, then clips onto the Big Ear Bluetooth lanyard for rehearsal, travel and the drive home. Battery run down? Unplug from the lanyard, plug into the cable and keep playing.
Clear acrylic shell
Every Big Ear convertible is built in a firm, durable clear acrylic shell, shaped from your own impressions so it seats the same way every time you put it in. (Prefer Big Ear Soft Silicone? It’s available on our wired in-ear monitors.)
How it works
- Order today. Your free impression kit leaves our shop within 2–3 business days.
- Take your impressions at home with the kit and our step-by-step video, then send them back.
- We hand-build your set from your impressions: 35–40 business days, never rushed.
- Your in-ears arrive covered by our 30-day fit warranty. If they don’t fit right, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we’ll make it right.
