The Momentum True Wireless 2 builds on the same design as its predecessor.
You will have the same charging case, albeit in a darker shade and a similar minimalist look overall.
The earbuds themselves are a bit smaller, though, by a few millimeters.
The outer side of the buds features a brushed metal touch-sensitive surface.
This allows you to change your tracks and toggle other features like Google Assistant, Alexa, and active noise cancellation.
The controls are pretty intuitive; otherwise, playback options on the left earbud, voice assistant, and noise-canceling on the right side.
It allows you to set the behavior of various gestures within the app itself.
Sound
With the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 Custom Adapter, you will have the EQ set to neutral; these buds sound slightly warm to my ears, great for listening to rock and blues music.
If you want a bit more boom for pop and EDM tunes, just increase the frequencies up in the EQ in the app.
With active noise cancellation, you can just press the button, and it is there.
You don’t get to choose the level of ANC —it’s just on or off.
As with most ANC, it works well indoors but does not work with an ever-changing environment like outdoors or jet engines.
One main issue as you should know about all ANC is when it is on, and in use, it uses almost two times the battery power, so it limits the amount of time on the charge.

Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 Custom Adapter is designed to fit perfectly in your ear canal, creating a perfect seal to give you added hearing protection along with a perfect fit and added comfort.
The hear-through feature is implemented really well on the Momentum Wireless 2. It allows you to hear your surroundings using the app by using the onboard mics, and you can adjust the volume of the sound coming in.
With such an efficient mic set up, it also gives you great voice quality when you are on the phone as well. This is rare on such tiny wireless earbuds.

Connecting to the Momentum True Wireless 2 on a smartphone is pretty straightforward.
What’s good is that you have one Bluetooth connection for both buds, meaning you don’t have to pair the two buds individually.
The app is also pretty slick, without and does not have many complications.
You will also get frequent updates. When a firmware update is available, it will send it to the earbuds through the app.
But as is the case with most earbuds, the app’s bells and whistles only work on smartphones and not PCs.
Battery life
The Momentum True Wireless 2 with the custom adapter is a winner in the battery department.
Will last five days on stand by if you’re not using them.
The buds themselves can last well over five hours, and the charging case further provides 21 hours of playtime.
And the buds only take about 15 minutes in the case to give you an hour of fun.
